We believe that God is the creator and that He rules over the universe and everything in it. We believe that there is only one God and He exists in three Persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. We believe that God has fully revealed Himself and that He desires to be in relationship with us. The only way for us to have any kind of relationship with God is through the Son, Jesus Christ.

We believe that Jesus is God and has existed as a member of the Trinity from all eternity (John 1:1). We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin named Mary, and that He lived as a human among us. Through His physical death and resurrection, He defeated death and the powers, and has saved us from the penalty of sin. Through Jesus, we now have the way to experience eternal life with God.

The Holy Spirit is equal with The Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit guides us as we seek to obey God's commands given to us through his Word.  The Holy Spirit also gives us spiritual gifts that we are to use to help grow the Kingdom of God. As Christians we should always be seeking out the Holy Spirit and striving to live under His control. Ultimately, the Holy Spirit points us to the glory of Jesus Christ.

We believe that mankind was created by God with the purpose of bringing glory to God and partnering with Him to bring human flourishing to the ends of the earth. We believe that mankind chose and continues to choose to rebel against God's ways. This rebellion is called sin and it separates us from God. Without Jesus, mankind would be doomed and without hope.

Through Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection we are saved; we must only put our trust in Him. We are saved by grace through faith. There's no other way we can be saved. Every person is a sinner in need of saving. When you put your faith in Jesus, you are repenting and declaring your allegiance to Him. In doing so, your sins are forgiven and the Holy Spirit begins to empower you to live in the Kingdom of God, now and into eternity.

Man was created to exist forever. Man will exist forever in one of two ways:

Eternally with God in Heaven or eternally separated from God in Hell. We believe in the reality of Heaven and Hell.

The Church is the body of Christ here on earth and we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to carry out the mission of bringing others to know Christ. In order for a Christian to grow in their faith it is critical that they become involved in a local gathering of believers. The Church also provides a support group for fellowship and the everyday challenges of life. 

If you are a Christian, you are called to serve. We believe that it is the Christian's responsibility to be a minister.  If you are a member at NLCC we encourage you to find a place to serve and minister within the church.  Furthermore, we believe, as Christians, we are called to serve, minister, and evangelize to people outside the Church.

Communion is the time in our service in which we partake of the body and the blood of Jesus Christ while remembering and reflecting on His death and resurrection. The bread is His body that was broken for us. The juice is His blood which was spilled for us. While you don't have to be a member to partake in communion at NLCC, we do ask that you are a baptized believer.

The Church is meant to exist on the generosity of the people who make up the Church. Your generosity is an act of worship and is a physical

representation of your faith in God's commands. Traditionally, tithing is meant to be 10% of a person's income, although we believe that the New Testament life is about giving all that you are capable of giving for the expansion of the Kingdom of God.
